Hi there! This is the last time I'm gonna write on this blog, and I'm gonna talk you about this experience. Previously, in the school, I had the experience of writing in English, but never on a virtual platform, always as a test, and I think writting in blogs is a very didactic way to learn. The colours, the images, and the chance to interact with our classmates and their blogs, make this activity something funnier than just a test. Furthermore, the possibility of look for the words that we don't know their translation and the dynamic of increasing the number of words each week, make this instance a much more friendly and gradual process, and that is valuable. By this way, everyone can see their progress in terms of writing, creativity, coherence and length. Personally, I have read all the comments that my classmates and teacher left to me, and I like we receive and give a small feedback in each task.  I think this is a great way to take an optimal challenge. Now I f...

Hello everyone! This time I'm gonna talk you about a book that I like.  A book that I liked so much was "El lobo estepario" by Hermann Hesse. I have read this author in three times, when I was in the school, and I really like him. The books I have read, besides the one I mentioned, were "Demian" and "Siddhartha".  In addition to the plot of his books, I really like the way Hermann Hesse write. He use so interesting metaphores and analogies, and he can captivate your attention and make you reflect on the ideas that are expressed in the text. Another things I like about this author are his concepts and his nearnees to Buddhism, his works always have a trace of his spiritualy. To sum up, the story of "El lobo estepario" is about a man, Harry Haller, about fifty years old, that is so intellectual but he always thought that he is a misfit in this society. He think that he have a kind of "double personality", he feel like his soul...

Hi there! In this post I'm going to talk you about a subject of this semester that I like. To be honest, this semester I have been very tired (maybe because I have never been used to an academic rate like last semester), so, I feel that I haven't been able to enjoy or take advantage of any particular subject in a good way. Anyway, I hope the next semester I can achieve a better organization. Nevertheless, if I had to choose a subject that I liked, I think it would be "Basic Psychological Processes". The dynamics of this subject is the weekly reading of a specific chapter of the text called "Motivation and Emotion", written by Reeve. In general, each class we must elaborate a hypothesis about what is seen in the assigned chapter, which, in my opinion, is a good method for our education, since it doesn't only make us read, memorize and understand the text, but also reflect on it, and try to have a scientific approach to it. In the classes, we talk about...

Hi everyone! Today I'm gonna talk you about a website related to my career, that I like so much. So, you know I study Psychology, so this website is called "Psicología Infantil". As you can imagine, this space is mainly about parenting, and in addition to having an informative role, it fulfills an educational function, since it tries to generate awareness among its readers. This is done through examples of everyday situations, where they try to explain about certain behaviors of children mean, and the best way to deal with the different situations that arise in parenting, using explanatory texts, didactic images or even videos that represent daily episodes. What I value most about this platform is that they have a very important goal: to learn to understand children. To understand that they are people, that they have feelings, needs, and that their behavior responds to this, and not by mere "caprice" as one tends to say. This site is managed by Álvaro Pallama...

Hi there! This time I'm gonna talk you a litlle about a topic that worries me a lot: sale of animals. Well, Have you ever seen the puppies and kittens in the places where they sell them? They keep them in cages or spaces (which are still cages, only without the irons) of no more than one square meter, whe they can barely move a few steps during the whole period that are not adopted. They keep them in glass cases, yes, as if they were wallets that people can look and choose according to the image they have, and of course, the status of the race which they belong. They have a price because they are seen as objects, we profit with their lives, because their lives are inferior to ours and then we can do what we want with them, that is the logic. They have even manipulated this species to create breeds that are more attractive to the market, regardless of the effects they have. For example, there are some breeds like the "cava-poo-chon", part of the small races calle...

Hi there! This time I'm going to tell you about a picture I like so much. This picture was taken by me, when I was on holidays with my family, about January of this year. This photography shows the sunrise in the wonderful south of Chile. One reason why I like this photo is because it's very simple: not much colors, a few elements, without too many information. I mean, the picture doesn't produce a great impact, it rather generates a serenity feeling (even indifference for someone), and, for me, a deep emotion of peace and fullness. I think I feel the picture so closely because it represents a piece of this beautiful and adventurous experience. That time we were going to climb the Villarrica volcano. We left the hut in Licanray about 3:00 A.M, to start to go up in a antique war truck. We go up across the ground without roads until we arrive where the lava had dug the ground, there I took the picture, about 4:00 A.M. We stayed here for a minutes, contemplating the sunri...

Hi there! Today I'm gonna tell you some about me. Beyond personal characteristics that each individual person may have, each of us is composed and moves around certain ideals, motivations, cognitions, and a moral. Some of us integrate these ideas so deeply that they build a kind of mental vertebra within us that will make us conceive the world in a particular way. In specific, I mean that we embody certain struggles that build us as political subjects.  Well, one of the struggles that make up my way of being, living and thinking the world is veganism . As you can imagine, I don't eat any food with animal origin, but this struggle isn't limited to that, because it's not simply a type of diet, but is a etichal-political and philosophical position. Therefore, is a topic that you can't cover in one blog. So, I'm gonna write the key ideas to understand this position. First of all, veganism is a struggle that advocates antispecism , to overthrow the anthropoce...

MY FAVOURITE PIECE OF TECHNOLOGY.

As most people today, a technological object that I usually use is my cellphone. I got my first cellphone when I was about twelve years old, and I lost it because my little brother threw me dressed into the pool, and my cellphone was in my pocket. That wasn't the only time I lost a phone in a fun way, because years later, another cellphone stopped working because I took it to the amusement park "Fantasilandia" and it got wet; and another, about a year ago, I accidentally fell it to the toilet, when I was coming to my house after a party.  Well, I got my current cellphone with the warranty insurance of the last that fell into the toilet, and it's OK. I use my cellphone everyday, because it's very functional, comfortable (by the size), and integrates many functions of other devices, and tha'ts what I like it. I use it like a alarm clock in the mornings, like a memo pad, like a clock all day, like a weekly and mothly planner, like a camera, to call, to conn...
